TomTom Go 920 Review
I had a TomTom GO 920 GPS unit preordered from Amazon.com and I just got it in the mail today. So far it looks awesome. I couldn’t wait to use it so I picked a few spots close by to make routes to and I took a little drive with it. I have to say I’m quite impressed so far. On previous TomTom models I found their routing methods to be much worse. This one was quite impressive in its choices. I used the voice prompted address entry to easily tell it where I wanted to go. It worked really well with most of the addresses I put in. I already used the Map Share. A close by road with a bridge on it is closed for bridge repairs until late November so I made the correction and sent it to TeleAtlas with the TomTom go 920s Home software. The first time you use Map Share it will run a little configuration asking you if you’d like to update your maps when you log on to TomTom Home with additions from people. You can change your preferences on which corrections you want to accept with choices like corrections verified by TomTom or corrections reported by many. I’ve also already linked it to my phone with the Bluetooth. Haven’t had any problems with the tests I did with that.
